According the weather boffins, the next hurricane will be Milton and it’s headed directly through the center of Florida and over Cocoa Beach. (Mr. Weatherman)
It’s still a couple days away, but as you can see, the projected storm track goes right across our home.
Normally, this would be cause for concern, but Shannon, Henry, and I will be safe and secure in Annapolis, MD for the 2024 Annapolis Sailboat Show.
Mostly we plan on looking at things for the boat and not necessarily at the boats. New boats are remarkably expensive and come with nearly as many issues as used boats. It makes no sense, but I have read enough stories that I believe it to be true.
In addition, there are several friends we are looking forward to catching up with as well as taking some additional classes during the week. If we find some boat shopping opportunities, we have time and can wander the marinas without the pressure of returning to work.
This doesn’t mean we aren’t taking precautions for the incoming hurricane Milton. We do have some treasures worth protecting.
